Leita C. Foster Memorial Scholarship for Aspiring Educators

Leita Foster was a 1942 graduate of Atchison County Community High School (ACCHS) and attended  Mount St. Scholastica College. She served as an educator at multiple elementary schools for eight years  prior to transitioning from her teaching career to focus on family responsibilities. She was a staunch believer in the power of education. To honor that belief, her family established this $1500 scholarship to  anyone pursuing a career in teaching. 

Scholarship qualifications:  

<ul>  
<li>Atchison County Community High School (ACCHS) graduate</li>  
<li>GPA which demonstrates reasonable expectation of success in career field</li>  
<li>Enrolled in an accredited two-year or four-year college or university, or vocational trade school for the upcoming fall semester.</li>
</ul>
